Health Checkups Children & Youth Need for Healthy Growth
In this course, you’ll learn why regular checkups are important for children and Youth. You’ll find out how doctors can catch health problems early and how they keep track of a child’s growth. We’ll talk about the vaccines kids need and why they matter. You’ll also get help by asking questions about your child’s body and learning ways to keep them healthy for school, sports, and everyday life.
Maternal Physical Health: Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby
This presentation helps participants understand what pregnancy is and what happens during each stage. It explains common pregnancy words, what to expect as the body changes, and things that can cause problems during pregnancy. Participants will learn about possible pregnancy complications, the importance of speaking up and asking questions, and how to eat healthy during and after pregnancy. The presentation also explains how partners can support someone throughout pregnancy.
Nutritional Health: Why Good Food Choices Matter
In this course, you’ll learn why healthy eating matters for you and the people around you. You’ll discover how different foods affect the way your body feels and works. We’ll talk about important nutrients your body needs to stay healthy and what can happen if we eat too much unhealthy food. You’ll also learn simple tips and ideas to help you make better food choices so you can stay strong, feel good, and be your best.
Understanding Diabetes
This training explains what diabetes is and the different types of diabetes. It covers common signs, things that can raise the risk of getting diabetes, and what can happen if diabetes is not treated. The training also talks about how some mental health medications can affect diabetes, ways to help prevent it, and how to take care of yourself if you have diabetes. Participants will learn how to get help and where to find more information.
